Gaza & Kuala Terengganu

Assalamualikum & Goodday
.
Two top news in the papers are on the suffering of the people in Gaza and off course the coming by-election in Kuala Terengganu.
.
Reading about Gaza breaks my heart. I'm sad to see the pictures of innocent people especially children who died, injured, disfigured and dismembered in this act of war by the Israeli dogs. To make it worse, the whole world couldn't or chose not to do anything. We all by now know that all the meetings in the UN are all bullshit and will not benefit the Palestinians at all. So much for the 'change' promised by US President-elect Obama huh?
.
The move by the PM of Malaysia to call for a special seating in Parliament this Monday to condemn the crimes committed by the Israeli dogs is very much welcomed. Furthermore, the effort by Wisma Putra to garner support from other countries to pressure the UN to hold a special emergency session to discuss on this matter also shows that Malaysia as an Islamic country, is doing everything in her power to stop this atrocities. Kudos to the government.
.
However, I think it is ironic when while we are urging the whole world to stop the killing in Gaza, we, here in Kuala Terengganu are actually fighting, hurling accusations, cursing against each other for an MP post. To make it more ironic, all candidates eyeing for the post are Muslims and also Malays. I don't know, may be it's just me, but I think it is inappropriate and to a little extent hypocrite. .
.
So, I have this crazy idea which I think will not materialize, but what the hell....
.
I think, the PM on Monday, should propose for the postponement of the by election in Kuala Terengganu out of respect for the suffering and misery faced by the Palestinians. The by election should only proceed once the situation in Gaza is resolved. Politicians be it ADUNs or MPs should combine their effort regardless or their ideologies in supporting the government of Malaysia to fight for justice in Gaza.
.
This way, the rakyat for once could see all politicians in this country focusing their energies for a very noble intention. For once under the colors of Jalur Gemilang they are united. Let's try this. For once....
